A birthday boy and a long day on the road

Tim turned 40 on July 1st, and we spent the whole day on the road in order to reach our next place to call home for a while-Anacortes, Washington. He insists he had a great day, but I’m going to take him out to dinner and some other fun things Friday afternoon and evening to really celebrate!

We arrived in Anacortes (pronounced “Anna-Core-tiss”) just before 8pm local time, and managed to get set up in site #183 at the Fidalgo Bay Resort (RV by the Bay) in almost-record time. The sunset was pretty and once we were set up we walked toward the water with Chase to spend a few moments admiring the beauty of the sky and water. I still am not in the mode of carrying my camera along (that HAS to change, and soon!), so no pictures of it to share with you tonight!

The RV park is gorgeous! Water on 3 sides, lots of level sites, and plenty of beach access. There’s a pool, a clubhouse, laundry facilities, propane refilling station (yay), and more! We are excited to be calling this place home for the next 20 days or so!

We then proceeded to drive into Anacortes for a quick peek around, and found a cute little town with a lovely historic downtown area and lots of fun shops and restaurants for us to explore. We’ll take pictures over the next several days so you can see it, too!

Is there anything specific you’d like us to see for you? Let us know, and we’ll do our best to get there and capture it with the camera!

We have been working since 11:30pm (and it’s now almost 3am) to catch up in our businesses since having been on the road most of this week. Yikes! Things are piling up! But that’s good…it means that business is good and we are staying on top of it!

Ok. Guess that’s it for tonight. We’re going to catch some sleep, work a while tomorrow, and then go out and celebrate the start of the 40s for Tim! Happy Friday!
