A Brief Catch-up :: Rices’ Radical Sabbatical

0saves

Here are some catch-up photos from the last few months. I want the slate to be clean and ready to go as we embark on the next phase of our adventure!

Please enjoy these photos of our winter home in Austin, Texas! We really enjoyed our time at La Hacienda RV Resort and look forward to returning there in October, God willing! We left Texas on Saturday, May 7th, and leisurely made our way back onto the road (I-10) between Texas and Alabama, where we are this week. While just east of Brenham, Texas, we stopped for a few moments to wander around the alleged ghost town of Winkelmann and photograph some of the doors, porches, colors, and textures for my collection.

We intend to be in Alabama until the 16th and then begin a five-day trek up the Atlantic seaboard to our next base of operations in Trenton, Maine. We have reserved a campsite at the Narrows II RV park for two months, and look forward to being close to Bar Harbor and the numerous fishing villages, blueberry barrens, and summertime festivals on the “downeast coast” of Maine! While still in Alabama, I hope to get out and do a bit of sightseeing and photographing.

Mom Thanks for the ghost town tour – great geometric details and interesting textures – loved the color gradation of #27!
