Well there is not a lot to say about today. We both woke up this morning with headaches and so we went back to sleep and finally dragged out of bed around 1pm.
One thing about full-time RVing is that we don’t have our own laundry facilities. As a result, we typically wait until we have very few clean clothes left before we hit the laundromat, either in the campground, or as in the case today, in a nearby town. You can see just how much that stacks up in our little home in the photo Tim took of Chase this afternoon.
We spent a few hours at the Ellsworth Laundrymat (not kidding about the spelling), and came home with fresh, clean clothes! After the laundry, we hit the local Walmart supercenter to buy groceries, toiletries, and various other sundries. Tomorrow we break out the grill again…Tim’s excited about those Nathan’s hot dogs we bought and I’m looking forward to some grilled chicken with corn on the cob! Now we just need to find a fire pit and we’ll be set for the summer!
Things are really starting to pick up around this area, just in the past 24 hours or so. More traffic, more people out and about, shops opening up for the season, and just a general sense of gearing up for summer! We are hoping to finish our exploration of MDI before the end of next week while it’s still relatively slow here.
Oh, we did have a deja vu moment today when we sat down in the local Friendly’s restaurant (haven’t been in one of those since about 2000). Forgot how much ice cream is a big part of their menu! We were good, though, a salad and some starters.
After we got back from Walmart it was about 9pm, and I promptly sat down to write my two small essays for the week that are due every Thursday night, while Tim set about his nightly grading. Chase immediately plopped down in his bed and went to sleep. 🙂
So…I bet you had a more interesting Thursday than we did! Wanna tell us about it? Hit the “Add a Comment” link below. Later!
