Day Three!!

Tim: This morning we left from the KOA in Brigham City, Utah (where it seemed like every single bird decided to use our camper for poop target practice during our stay!). We headed west toward our month-long destination of Anacortes, Washington.

The original plan was to go to Yakima, Washington today and stay in a Wal Mart parking lot and dry camp. That quickly changed as the day progressed. After all, we are not on any schedule, are we? We also needed Internet access to do some work during the night. We ended up stopping in Pendleton, Oregon just a hop, skip, and jump from the Washington border.

The drive today was a winding and climbing journey through Utah, Idaho, and into Northeast Oregon. Chase has really struggled throughout the trip with his new “Doggy Deck.” He has been uneasy with it and is not relaxed at all.  He seemed to just collapse and fall asleep when we got to the campground tonight. He was very tired.

We are roughly six hours away from Anacortes right now and will head out tomorrow morning to try to arrive by early evening. We are looking forward to getting the camper set-up when we get there.

Also, July 1st is my 40th Birthday so I guess we will do something tomorrow for this occasion (I do not feel that old…where did the time go?). As I do every year, I beat my brother, Tony, to our birthday by seven minutes (I am a twin for those of you who do not know!).

We feel like we have gained so much from this journey already. We have already had the chance to share about the Trail Manor with some curious campers at the last two KOA’s. I expect that we will see a lot of this during the next year (and welcome it!).

Thanks for reading our blog and for keeping up with us. We will post again when we arrive in Washington!

Joy Happy Birthday, Tim!

You’ve reached the Big 4 – 0…but look at it this way –
if 60 is the new 40, you must only be about 25!

Cassie Now I understand why there is always someone in an RV park washing the top of their camper! I always wondered why it seemed to be such a regular activity. Thanks for clearing that up for me Tim! LOL
