Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Our Christmas cards went into the mail today…not exactly early this year, huh? We have been busy, and the printer was delayed unexpectedly, and so this year’s card will likely be more appropriate as a New Year’s card!

We wanted to take a moment today, on Christmas Eve day, to remind ourselves to slow down for a few days and remember what Christmas is really all about: the birth of a baby boy named Jesus, who willingly lived as both God and man and then died a cruel death to ensure that whoever believes in him can experience eternal life with God in heaven. Tim and I are so grateful to have a relationship with the Trinity, and we pray that if you don’t already know the unparalleled peace that comes with that relationship that you will discover it in 2011!

We hope you enjoy the electronic version of our Christmas card this year! As you may know, each year we set up a themed family portrait, usually a self-portrait that I take (though in 2009 we deviated from this a bit by having our portraits made by 2 pros in Denver). This year, since we are spending the winter in Texas, we had some fun with a funky old chair and some cowboy hats. We hope you enjoy the results of our family photo shoot!
